Benefits of Membership
The majority of U.S. charitable giving (about 60%-70% of total annual donations) is from individuals and an estimated $5 billion of those annual donations are generated from workplace giving campaigns each year. Add to that the estimated $2-$3 billion that is donated through employer-sponsored matching gift programs annually, and that is a significant amount of nonprofit resources being generated from the workplace.
Each year, America’s Charities helps its nonprofit members secure access to participate in the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), state and local campaigns, and private sector campaigns across the country, expanding our members' access to reach more than 14 million potential workplace donors, while also providing donor and financial management services designed to lower nonprofit administrative and fundraising costs.
More Campaigns, More Revenue Opportunities
We navigate campaign applications and eligibility requirements to public and private campaigns to help your organization gain access as a charity donors can support in:
- The Combined Federal Campaign (CFC): The US Federal Government’s workforce giving program with access to federal employee and retiree donors nationwide and overseas
- State & Local programs: Access to a comprehensive offering of state and local campaigns throughout the nation
- Private Sector campaigns: We are the trusted manager of workplace giving programs for employers around the country who seek charities for their employees to support. In many cases, we load our member content into these campaigns at the employer’s request, resulting in higher visibility and a significant increase in pledges to our members.
Helping Donors to Notice You
We take a multi-pronged approach to help your nonprofit break through the noise and reach workplace donors, including:
- Maintaining relationships with key campaign contacts and advocating for our members to ensure maximum participation in promotional activities and events,
- Representation and promotion at select corporate workplace giving campaign events,
- Raising our members’ visibility and profile through the employer giving campaigns that we directly manage, and
- Year-round promotion on our website, newsletter, social media platforms, and Google AdWords.
