National Rebuilding Month

National Rebuilding Month is an annual month-long call to service, culminating with National Rebuilding Day, the last Saturday of April (April 27 this year). Last year more than 33,000 volunteers served on nearly 1,500 affiliate-led rebuild projects throughout the country in April. Follow #RebuildingMonth.

In honor of #RebuildingMonth, America’s Charities is shining the spotlight on our nonprofit members and their local Rebuild Day events:

National Rebuilding Day, our largest volunteer event of the year, is on Saturday, April 27, 2019! Hundreds of volunteers in our community will spend the day making repairs to homes and community spaces in Alexandria and DC.

There has been so much interest in National Rebuilding Day this year that we have now reached our capacity. As a result, team registration for this year’s National Rebuilding Day is now closed. (If you work at a company or organization that has already registered, you are welcome to reach out to their point person to see if you can join their team of volunteers.)

Thanks so much to all of the companies and organizations that have registered for National Rebuilding Day. We’re excited that you’ll be joining us to repair the homes of those in need in our community!

Throughout April, we encourage you to:

  • Spread the Word! Follow us on Twitter and Facebook as we share information – not just about these organization’s Rebuilding Day events – but about the impact of their work and opportunities for your organization to get involved with them throughout the year.

  • Donate & raise money for these nonprofits whose work has and continues to pave the way for women’s health, equal economic opportunities, educational equity, and an end to gender-based violence. America’s Charities is proud of the work our member charities do in these respective areas. One of the most cost-efficient ways you can support these nonprofits is to donate to them via payroll deduction through your employer’s workplace giving program (Don’t have a program?
