Survey: How Has the Pandemic Impacted Your Nonprofit’s Volunteer Programs and Needs?

When the pandemic first emerged and people first started sheltering in place back in March, America’s Charities immediately reached out to our members about how you were being impacted. Based on your responses and to help highlight and bring public attention to your needs, we ended up publishing this article, “The Critical Ways America’s Charities’ Nonprofit Members are Helping Communities Respond to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Pandemic,” which garnered more than 30,000 pageviews and was reposted by more than 60 third party websites, which collectively reach 43 million monthly web visitors.

Now we want to bring attention to your volunteer programs and needs. Please take this 5-minute survey about volunteering

Due to health and safety considerations due to the pandemic, volunteerism has been turned on its head since shelter in place first took effect back in March. While some nonprofits and companies immediately adapted and kept their volunteer programs running, others were forced to temporarily put a hold on their volunteer initiatives. At the same time, many regular volunteers, particularly those who are at higher risk due to age or medical conditions, had to restrict or terminate their usual volunteer commitments.

Now that we have several months of the pandemic under our belt, we want to check in on the state of your organization’s volunteer program and current needs.

Your responses will be used in an effort to better inform the public – particularly employers and their employees – about how the pandemic is affecting nonprofits, with regards to volunteer support, and will help those organizations better understand how to help nonprofits through volunteerism.

Please complete the survey by August 20, 2020. Click here to get started.
