Are You Ready for Giving Tuesday?

#GivingTuesday Resources & Ideas for Companies, Nonprofits, and Individual Donors

Launched in 2012 as a charitable answer to the Black Friday and Cyber Monday retail shopping days, #GivingTuesday is a worldwide movement to encourage giving and celebrate generosity. Harnessing the collective power of charities, businesses, and individuals, the goal of this initiative is to transform how people think about, talk about and participate in giving all year round – especially during the holidays.

Whether you participate on #GivingTuesday, December 2, 2014, or during the months leading up to or after it, there are many ways for charities to join this celebration of giving. To help you get started, has created a #GivingTuesday page on our website with resources and ideas from America’s Charities and other industry experts.

Also, let us know about your #GivingTuesday initiatives.  We will use our website and social media pages to promote what you’re doing this year. We’d also like to share what you did last year so others can learn from you.  And, if you aren’t sure how to best celebrate #GivingTuesday, we’d be happy to brainstorm and suggest some ideas for you. Contact Sarah Ford at sford@charities.org for more information.
