On April 24th, America’s Charities is hosting #GivingUnderTheInfluence, a symposium focused on key trends, solutions, and strategies shaping the future of employee engagement and workplace giving. In this series of posts, we’ll introduce you to the panelists who will lead the #GivingUnderTheInfluence Symposium discussion.

Meet Panelist: Heather Lofkin Wright

Panelist: Heather Lofkin WrightHeather Lofkin Wright is a sought after speaker on corporate responsibility branding, philanthropy, volunteerism, employee engagement and the business sector’s role in youth STEM education.

In her role as National Director of Community Service at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) for the US Firm, Heather is responsible for day-to-day operations of the firm’s internal corporate responsibility strategy around community, which includes nonprofit partnerships, employee volunteerism, the charitable giving campaign, and pro bono initiatives.

Employed by PwC for 15 years, Heather has held a variety of roles and has lead the way for the success of many PwC programs including, launching the firm’s signature commitment to math and financial literacy (PwC’s Earn Your Future) and the creation and public release of the firm’s first corporate responsibility report.  Heather also serves as a leader on the nationwide giving campaign that raised over $10.8 million dollars for charities across the country in 2012.

When America’s Charities recently asked Heather how she thinks the digital culture will transform workplace giving and employee engagement, she replied, “This is the ‘real time’ epoch of giving. Using technology to enable people to give where, when, and how they choose to give puts the giving and the celebrating of giving where people’s hearts and minds already are, building on their natural giving spirit rather than artificially trying to build one.”

At the #GivingUnderTheInfluence Symposium on April 24, Heather and other experts will lead a discussion about how shifting employee expectations and the empowering digital culture are transforming the traditional workplace giving model into a more engaging experience inside and outside the workplace walls.

We’d like to extend a special thanks to 3BL Media and Capital Business for sponsoring this year’s event!
