Junior Achievement Teams-up With AT&T to Mentor Teens on Career Goals and Choices

What Do You Want To Be When You Grow Up?

Such a simple question that is so hard to answer. Did you know what you wanted to be when you grew up? Did you have a plan for how to achieve your career goals? Imagine how hard these questions are for teens who don’t have positive role models.

One way that business, non-profits and educators are coming together to support students is through public-private collaborations. Currently, the U.S. high school graduation rate is just above 80 percent and unemployment is at 5.6 percent. While the graduation rate has gone up over the last few years and the unemployment rate has gone down, these movements have been gradual. Together, we can continue to make positive change.  

A great example of this type of collaboration is the JA Job Shadow™ program Junior Achievement is doing with AT&T in more than 50 markets across the U.S. for teens in collaboration with the AT&T Aspire Mentoring Academy.
