Accelerate the Search for a Cure to Childhood Cancer
Today, 42 parents will hear the words, “your child has cancer,” and one out of eight children will not survive. While more than 40,000 children undergo cancer treatment each year, only two cancer medications have been specifically developed for children in the last twenty years.
That is why CureSearch for Children’s Cancer supports research at all stages. From basic science to advanced clinical trials, every phase of research holds the potential to save children’s lives. In the last 30 years, research has been responsible for saving the lives of over 300,000 children with cancer.
Along with funding research, CureSearch is committed to supporting families and communities facing cancer today. Hosting events around the country to honor children and families and rallying communities in the fight against children’s cancer, CureSearch continues to provide education and resources so that no child faces a diagnosis and treatment without a fully equipped team behind them.
This September, Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, America’s Charities is standing behind families with children facing cancer by showing our support for CureSearch. Help us build momentum toward a cure for all children’s cancers now, because soon is not soon enough.
