America’s Charities 2012 Annual Membership Assembly

One of the most valuable benefits of your membership in America’s Charities is the opportunity for you – CEO’s, Vice President’s and Development professionals – to gather and engage in conversations about what matters to your organization. On Tuesday, May 22, America’s Charities will host its Annual Membership Assembly at Georgetown University Hotel and Conference Center. The theme for this year’s Assembly is Sustainability 2012: Practical Solutions for Innovation and Success.
We planned a full day of dynamic speakers, interactive workshops and peer-to-peer learning focused on creating sustainable fund-raising strategies including workplace giving and employee engagement.

Confirmed speakers for the day include, Chris Jarvis, Co-Founder of Realized Worth, a leading employee volunteering and CSR consulting firm. Chris provides training and hands-on involvement in the design and implementation of outstanding and sustainable employee volunteer programs for businesses and will share his knowledge of trends he is witnessing and his views on the implications for charities. Bob Ottenhoff, President & CEO of Guidestar was a big hit at last year’s Assembly and will join us again for a detailed update on Guidestar’s new programs and initiatives and implications for your organization. Bob will also join BBB Wise Giving Alliance President & CEO, Art Taylor, on a panel of experts to discuss and take questions from you about the increased emphasis on transparency, accountability and evidence-based philanthropy and Richard Neustedter, President, Non-Profit Financial Specialists. Our afternoon session will feature two workshops: Donor Behaviors Across Channels with experts from Network for Good and Not Your Mother’s Cause Related Marketing with David Hessekiel, Founder & President of Cause Marketing Forum (CMF) and Julia Kivistik, Co-founder of Human Truth Marketing, LLC, followed by a session on Leveraging Social Media for Sustainable Fundraising, presented by Tom Watson, Founder & President of CauseWired.
