Happy Earth Day from Albertsons Companies! To minimize our impact on the planet, we take action across our company to reduce, repurpose, and donate unsold food. In 2020, our company donated more than 83 million pounds of food to Feeding America. Preventing this food from going to waste avoids carbon emissions by an amount equal to taking 3,800 cars off the road for one year.
