15 Reputable Charities to Support on #GivingTuesday – December 3, 2019

Last year on #GivingTuesday, individuals, civic coalitions, nonprofits, schools, and businesses in all 50 states raised more than $380 million online in the United States alone. Not too shabby for a one-day fundraising event.

But did you know donations made by employees through workplace giving campaigns generate more than $5 billion each year? That’s about 13 times more than what #GivingTuesday generates.

The average size gift donors make through workplace giving campaigns managed by America’s Charities is $550 – that’s about five times the average gift size of $105 from donors made on #GivingTuesday in 2018. If your employer offers workplace giving, be sure to leverage the power of payroll deduction and contribute to our members through your employer’s giving program. Many companies will even match your gift!

• If you make a gift of $150 or more, our friends at Giggybites Bakery & Marketplace will give you a jar of dog treats for your dog at home OR you can gift the treats to the CPL kennel dogs!
• If you make a donation between 12pm-1pm (on Giving Tuesday) of at least $30, your name will be entered into a raffle to name a puppy! We will pick one lucky donor from that hour to name a future CPL puppy!
