Miriam's Kitchen

Our Cause

Miriam’s Kitchen works to end chronic homelessness in Washington, DC. We advocate for permanent supportive housing as a long-term solution, while meeting short-term needs by providing healthy meals and high-quality social services to the chronically homeless.

Miriam's Kitchen

Our Impact

  • Miriam’s Kitchen worked closely with the DC government to secure the historic 2,900 permanent supportive housing vouchers, while maintaining best practices and the highest quality of services.
  • We have kept 99% of first-year residents stable in their homes so they don’t slip back into homelessness
  • We have connected 294 guests to mental health services and helped 346 guests get follow up medical care.
