Pulling Back the Curtain On the CSR Profession

Recently I was invited to speak on the real world of CSR. While the workshop attendees were mostly nonprofit fundraisers/executives looking for the scoop on how to get corporate funders to part with their cash, others were aspiring CSR professionals eager to get inside the heads of folks like me who in their eyes have played the god-like role of determining the winners and losers in the corporate philanthropy business.
So, what’s it really like? Multiple factors affect the happiness/misery index when it comes to a day in the life of a typical CSR professional, whether she’s the executive leading the team, or the lowly junior associate.
