Celebrating National Park Week 2015: Where History and Nature Intersect
Did you know that of the approximate 400 national park units, roughly two-thirds are historical parks, sites, monuments, or memorials? It’s true! That’s why National Trust for Historic Preservation is joining the National Park Service and National Park Foundation in celebrating National Park Week.
National Park Week is a week-long celebration that encourages the public to visit, volunteer at, and share stories of their favorite parks. The week’s events include a weekend of free admission, a day of service on Earth Day (4/22/15), and online sharing of user photos and memories.
