Change Makers and Dream Chasers

By Joey Ponce

As MCON rounds the corner to the fun- and work-filled home stretch leading up to the big day, questions from friends and interested folk start to ramp up. “What’s this MCON thing all about? Is it cool? Is it fun? Is it for me?” And I’m always at the ready to explain to people why I think MCON is one of the best conferences for ambitious, social-good-loving people.

If you’re the type of person who enjoys leading, participating in or even following along with cause movements out in the world, MCON provides a platform to meet a ton of people with those same interests. And beyond that, it puts you in the same mixing pot as people who are doing great things on a national level and could give you the insight and advice you need to get there, too.

This year will be my second MCON event. Last year was enough to get me addicted to the incredible experience of knowledge, inspiration and motivation packed into a two-day conference. For anyone who has never attended, I would highly recommend considering this year’s conference. MCON 2015 promises to include the same caliber of speakers that MCON is well known for, great socializing events for mingling with your peers, and the beautiful and vibrant city of Chicago as your backdrop. If you can’t make it to Chicago, there’s always the free livestream you can enjoy from the comfort of your own living room.

Really, there’s no excuse not to drop in and absorb some of the inspiring content the conference will undoubtedly encompass.

If you work for a great place that encourages this type of professional development, if you are a freelancer who can write this off as a well-deserved business expense, or if you are a student and are interested in the opportunity to attend for free, I’ve designed a little visual aid that can help you pitch your case to the powers that be.
