VolunteerMatch Releases 2013 Annual Impact Report Showing Almost $1 Billion in Volunteer Service across Multiple Sectors
July 8, 2014 /3BL Media/ – VolunteerMatch, the Web’s largest volunteer engagement network, released its 2013 Annual Impact Report. The infographic-style report showcases the people and causes who made a difference through volunteering in 2013.
Last year witnessed a number of major developments for the 16-year-old nonprofit organization. They re-launched www.VolunteerMatch.org with a one-of-a-kind recommendations engine, overhauled their workplace group management services, ventured onto your mobile phone, and pushed their entire technical infrastructure into the cloud.
Some notable sections of the 2013 Annual Impact Report include top opportunities listed by close to 100,000 nonprofits currently using VolunteerMatch to engage volunteers, most popular interests of the millions of members in the VolunteerMatch network, and a rundown of impact created via workplace volunteering programs.
“We believe everyone should have the chance to make a difference,” said Greg Baldwin, president of VolunteerMatch. “That’s why VolunteerMatch makes it easier for people to connect with the causes they care about. And it works. In 2013 we powered almost a billion dollars’ worth of volunteer service in 2013. And together, we can do even more.”
