Faces of Austerity Report: How Budget Cuts Have Made Us Sicker, Poorer, and Less Safe
This week, NDD United – an alliance of more than 3,200 national, state and local organizations advocating against sequestration – released “Faces of Austerity: How Budget Cuts Have Made Us Sicker, Poorer, and Less Safe.” The report tells the story of Washington’s failure to protect the programs that keep us healthy, safe and educated. Reporting sector by sector, from public health to education to workforce development, the report demonstrates the comprehensive impact on the people they are meant to serve.
