Grants up to $20,000 Now Available for Qualified 501(c)3 Charities

The Community Foundation for Northern Virginia’s Future Fund, a giving circle for young professionals, will make grants to help individuals and families in Northern Virginia achieve housing stability. Grants of up to $20,000 will be available for programs that help low and moderate-income individuals and families attain and remain in permanent affordable housing. The emphasis is on housing in conjunction with supportive services to help people achieve housing stability. The total grant pool is approximately $60,000.

Grant requests can be up to $20,000. Applications are due by October 10, 2012 at midnight.
 
Who Can Apply?
Grants will be made to organizations providing services in Northern Virginia (Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun and Prince William counties, plus the cities of Alexandria, Falls Church and Manassas/Manassas Park).

Programs that provide any of the following will be considered:
    •    Affordable housing
    •    Transitional housing
    •    Supportive services to help people move to permanent housing
    •    Eviction/foreclosure prevention programs
