Federal Budget Cuts Hurt Reading is Fundamental

Recent Fedral budget cuts will eliminate funding for Children First member Reading is Fundamental (RIF). “RIF’s ability to provide 4.4 million children with free books and reading encouragement from RIF programs at nearly 17,000 locations throughout the U.S. is in jeopardy,” said RIF’s CEO Carol Rasco.
