What is Pledge1st and how much does it cost to use?

Pledge1st is America’s Charities award-winning technology solution for use in corporate employee-giving philanthropic initiatives and special appeals.

There is not a set-up fee to use Pledge1st. The only fee associated with Pledge1st is an administrative fee which is below the industry norm. Our administrative fee which is based on employee count eligible to participate in the campaign.

A campaign with America's Charities is the easiest way to give. Our staff is fully committed to the highest level of customer satisfaction and has a long track record of providing outstanding service, technology and operational excellence to employers and employees throughout the country. We will work with you and guide you from the time you decide to start a workplace giving campaign (or add America's Charities members to your existing program). We recognize the need to develop an informative, motivating and fun campaign that educates donors, as well as the importance to stress your commitment to employee involvement and community relations’ initiatives.

How do donations in a workplace giving campaign reach the charity(ies)?

Answer

If a campaign is managed by America's Charities, the funds are sent from the company's payroll department to America's Charities either monthly or quarterly and America's Charities Fiscal Services department will process and mail payments to the charity(ies).

A workplace giving campaign is an employer provided program that offers employees the ability to make regular donations to eligible charities through a payroll system. In most instances, employees can choose to donate to any valid 501(c)3 nonprofit they like as long as the organization is eligible to receive tax deductible gifts. An ideal campaign requires leadership, employee volunteers, a plan and charities to support. Many Campaigns today are supported by online giving systems.
